Go for a snowshoe tour past old historic coal ovens and toward the gateway to the Flathead River Valley. Then get behind a team of Snow Valley Huskies on their run over the playground they call home. Two Adults must drive their own Lightsleds and two will ride as passengers. We suggest that you switch so everyone can experience the thrill of working with your team. Skijorring Splendor - start time flexible - $150/adult
Start your morning or afternoon meeting our dogs and learning about our friendly huskies, then choose your team of 2 dogs and we'll strap on skis and enjoy the scenery while the dogs help whisk us away on our beautiful mountain trails. We'll help the dogs along as we wind our way up the trails to a beautiful lookout where we can relax and enjoy lunch or a satisfying snack and drinks while the dogs play. Then we will enjoy a gentle ski down as the dogs run along side us jumping and playing in the snow! We will harness the dogs once again when the trail flattens out and they will happily pull us along the trail back to the trailhead. Introduction to Mushing "Our Most Popular and Talked About Tours"
½ Day Dogsled Lesson &/or Passenger Tour - 9am & 1pm pick up $250/adult $100/child
Spend half a day out on the trails (approx. 3 hrs) around the Fernie area learning the art of dog sledding while running a small team of dogs on our unique light dogsleds. A fun lesson, including dog handling and commands will be followed by a scenic trip to show off what you have learned! Hot beverages and snacks will be provided. If you are unsure of mushing the entire trip you can trade off with someone else in your group and share the passenger/musher experience, just ask us how!
The Fast and the Furriness, A True Dog Sledding Experience!

This is the tour you will return for year after year!!!!!
Spend a full day out on the trails (approx. 5 to 6 hrs) with a more extensive lesson, a full picnic lunch and a longer tour on more challenging terrain. A great way to become a musher and learn about dog teams! This is a great introduction to dog sledding for the more adventurous at heart! As with our half day intro, you are welcome to trade off with someone else in your group and share the passenger/musher experience.
Our Dogsled Lessons are unique. We will take you from kennel handling and harnessing to driving your very own lightsled with 2, 3, or 4 dogs. Our guides are trained ski instructors and will use the same skills to teach you the great art of mushing. This is a once in a lifetime experience.

This is the trip for those looking for the Next True Adventure for their team. This is One on One Dogsled team Training for Mushers. Over the course of the day we will transform you and your team from intermediate beginner to true musher! The same attention to detail as our introduction tours, with more time spent on the skills needed to take your team into backcountry trails. This tour is for the physically fit, and geared towards those who have mushed before or have their own teams. If bringing your own team we expect you to be capable for feeding watering and storing your dogs accordingly. You may bring your own sled and equipment but we will inspect it before departure for safety.

Our summer scooter tours are the excitement of mountain biking and the thrill of dog sledding combined. We start by meeting the pack. Learning to handle, harness and load the huskies. We will teach you the commands and skills needed to drive a scooter team. Then off for a once in a lifetime adventure. These tours can be mild to wild.
Snacks and beverages will be provided.

Join us for our summer husky and puppy walks. These tours are low impact walks on beautiful trails. Meet the Snow Valley Huskies and Puppies.Then pick who you would like to walk beneath the beautiful cedars and the amazing Lizard Range. 6 years of age and under are free . Husky Hikes
Visit Some of the Elk Valleys nicest views. These tours can be strenuous and involve elevation. Ask about 2 hour to 1/2 day trips.

Overnight Dog Scooter Camping Tours
This is the perfect couples weekend adventure getaway. Let our guides and the Snow Valley Huskies Show you their back yard. Experience our dogs in the setting they were born for. Learn to care for your team on a base camp style, camping weekend. Dog scooter on non-motorized back country mountain trails and even hike to a beautiful secluded mountain lake Let us show you an unforgettable camping weekend in the Southern BC Rockies.
