This past Christmas Holidays in Fernie were some of the best I have ever experienced. It started out great and it just kept getting better with storm after storm bringing countless cm's of fresh snow nearly every day. On the few days it wasn't snowing we were blessed with some fine bluebird conditions.
It was also one of the busiest holidays that I can remember. The town was packed with people from across the world, Europe, USA, Eastern and Western Canadians could be found everywhere. Everyone seemed to be having the time of their lives, enjoying great dining, entertainment and fine Fernie hospitality.. on top of superb skiing conditions.
While I'm sure most of the tourism and hospitality industry enjoyed the packed town, there are plenty of others that are looking forward to the peace and quiet of the coming few weeks before the next holiday session rolls around.
