Woke up today to a foot of fresh snow on the cars in the driveway, now I think I can ski to my house in Timberline subdivision. It continued to snow through most of the day today and by afternoon it had started to clear off a bit. Time to head up for another run in the Fresh.
We didn’t leave the parking lot till 4PM today... needless to say it was dark by the time we were at the top of Ballet, but there was just enough light to see that Easter Bowl looked prime. It had to be done, even though it was dark. Toured straight up Dancer to the top of easter, now it was really dark. Perfect for the first decent of Easter Bowl, a quick depth check at the top put the early season base in Easter Bowl at over a meter!
The resort was quite active today, lots of tracks, snowmobiles, groomers and snowmakers being setup. If we get another good dump of snow it would be nice to see the resort try to open earlier than expected.
