Canadian Cancer Society
Relay For Life
in the Elk Valley
The Great Volunteer Search!
The Canadian Cancer Society Relay For Life in the Elk Valley is only a few weeks away, and with the big day coming up we are looking for volunteers to help out!

Relay For Life wouldn’t be possible each year without the great volunteers who support us. This year we are looking for a whole team of people to be available throughout the day Saturday June 2nd to do a variety of jobs. Our main focus will be on setting up and taking down, but there will also be a need for event support, site maintenance, registration, entertainment and children’s activities. We need volunteers who can give us anything from as little as two, to as much as twelve hours of their time for this important day. Volunteering can be one of the most rewarding experiences when you realize how many people you are affecting just by showing up and helping out.
If you are interested in becoming a volunteer for the day of the Relay, contact Elk Valley Coordinator Chantel Souliere at 423-0713 or csouliere@bc.cancer.ca. If you haven’t registered for the Relay, there’s still time. You can do so by logging onto www.cancer.ca, or by dropping into your local East Kootenay Community Credit Union.
The Canadian Cancer Society Relay For Life in the Elk Valley is scheduled for Saturday June 2nd from 11am-11pm, at the Secondary School Track in Fernie. We hope to see you there!
