This Morning in Fernie

The weather clears and sun comes out. Rumour has it there is 25 cm of fresh snow up at the mines. The Elk River actually dropped 4.653 cm overnight. Water is being stored in the high country. In downtown Fernie it is spectacular. Clean, revitalized streets, new shops, galleries and street banners bring art to the downtown and it all adds up to a great time to visit--to reconnoitre the possibility of actually living here. The World's Most Scenic Mountain Town(That's the rumour).

The new banners in Fernie B.C. feature art by local Fernie artists and promotion of the Inaugural Fernie Fest. The Ghostrider photo-painting by Steve Short is available as framed prints at The Fernie General Store and can also be viewed as large canvas mount at the new Fernie Tea and Coffee House in downtown Fernie.
