A 5-20 WordFest on July 20
Once again local writers, poets, singer songwriters gather at the Grand Central for a evening of words, poetry and song. As next month is Charles Bukowski’s birthday, we decided to celebrate the works of Buk with a simple request that each performer start or end with a Buk piece or a Buk inspired piece. For those worried, the tribute can be as minor as taking your drink on stage and finishing it as you perform. Simple. And all Buk.
Two sets of new works. The first set starts at 9 ish. The second at 10 ish. All new work. All new songs.
The irrepressible Hank and Lily will immediately follow the second set with a rollicking final set.
