Bear Aware and the EcoGarden have partnered to promote the use of apples in Fernie, to ensure apples feed families, not bears.
On Tuesday, October 6th the newly acquired apple press will be made available to the public for use. The Canadian made press makes magic out of the often blemished Fernie apple and turns it into incredible fresh pressed juice, with the ease of the grinder and press.

If you don't have an apple tree in your yard and want to participate, consider talking to your neighbors if you see a tree heavy with fruit.
