Celebrating all our Aussie visitors! Head to FAR for hilarity at the Cardboard Derby, then it's back to town for true Aussie treats at the Fernie Hotel & Pub.
The Cardboard Derby is a firm favourite in Fernie. Featuring all manner of creative constructions, the aim is to get your carboard skier (or snowboarder) down the hill in one piece. Teams have been working for weeks (or a few minutes) to create one-of-a-kind masterpieces that will be launched down a steep slope to certain doom. Who will make it the furthest?
The Fernie Hotel & Pub is Aussie Central for January 26th. Stop in through the day for a fill of homemade meat pies and sausage rolls, ice cold VB or a Bundy & Coke!
Party into the evening with live entertainment, vegemite giveaways, contests. Be sure to dress in your best Aussie Wear - great prizes as always!
