Lace up your runners and head to Sparwood Sunday June 22nd for the first annual Coal Miner Days "Sparwood Classic 8K Run and 4K Run/Walk".
The 8K Run follows a challenging mix of road and rolling, forested trails around the townsite, while the 4K run/walk offers an easier option for families and newer runners. Kids 12 and under can also participate in their own obstacle course event and receive a free event T-shirt c/o Elk Valley Coal.
