Jan 26 2008 - 4:00pm

Saturday, January 26 ‘08, 1 pm - 4 pm

Introduction to encaustic; tools, waxes, techniques. No previous artistic ability needed…

Encaustic means to burn in - using heat as the solvent for coloured waxes. Learn techniques starting with the simplest marks that a heated iron makes with the molten waxes, worked onto the sealed painting card surface. As you progress and gain skill, the introduction of other low-heat tools and equipment allows further exploration.

All tools and materials will be supplied for the workshop ... all you need is your imagination.

$45/person, $10 Materials, limited to 6. Deadline for enrolling: January 23. rondawood@shaw.ca
