Welcome to Fernie’s first photo walk hosted by Fernie photographer Jamie Hide. It is being held as part of Scott Kelby’s second annual World Wide Photowalk which takes place in cities and countries all over the world on July 18th.
This is an opportunity for photographers of all levels to come together and share ideas as we take photos of Fernie. You don’t need any special equipment, just a camera and an interest in photography, to take part.
We will start from the Arts Station and take a walk through the town and then down by the river. We’ll end up at a patio somewhere to share our photos and each other’s company.
Afterward, you can make any adjustments you like with your favourite software and then upload your best shots to this website. I will pick one outstanding photo and the photographer will win a copy of Scott Kelby’s new book, The Digital Photography Book, Volume 3, and your photo will be eligible for the grand prize awarded by Scott Kelby himself.
