The FTSTC was established in 1991 and constructed the public use Thunder Meadows Cabin in the Lizard Range in 1993. The FTSTC ’s primary mandate is for backcountry ski touring activities and summer trail enhancement. Members of this association have constructed and are maintaining many of the Lizard Range and Ridgemont mountain bike trails and work cooperatively with other user groups to enhance wilderness experiences in the Elk Valley. FTSTC has recently joined forces with the Fernie Mtn Bike Club to form the Fernie Trails Alliance.
