This September 10th to 14th, all businesses in Fernie are encouraged to walk or bike to work, the ultimate goal being a downtown bustling with people on bikes or walking, with barely any cars in sight! Each employee that drives to work that week must submit $1 to the Fernie Fix Walk to Work Week fund. The business closest to $0 on the 14th of September will be recognized at the Taste of Fernie on the 15th, and given a free 1/2-page ad in the Fernie Fix along with being the Feature Business in one of our upcoming issues. The money raised by the other businesses will be compiled and donated to WildSight.
Let’s all work together to make this a successful week in Fernie, and realize the benefits of a healthy population and environment in our beautiful town.
