Old-world instrumentation, sweet vocal harmonies, and an infectious beat that will make you move from the inside out – that’s just some of what you can expect from Heavy Shtetl, an Eastern European Roots and Traditional Jazz band. The group took to the streets of their hometown of Nelson in the summer of 2006, entertaining locals and tourists alike. Since that time they’ve toured around the province playing festivals, weddings, and bat mitzvahs, and they’ve recorded 2 albums, Buskin’ on Baker and Gesundheit!
