Experience the works of cherished composers from the Middle Ages to the twentieth century. Included in the presentation will be biographical information about the composers, a discussion of the elements of musical style in terms of characteristic treatments of rhythm, melody, harmony, form, and expression, and a facilitation of personal encounters with the listening selection by the featured composers on the accompanying CD. This is a great primer for the Creative Encounters Workshop.
