The Summer Reading Program is back at Fernie Heritage Library for 2007! The overall theme this summer is "Catch the Reading Bug". The program starts on July 3 andwill be running for approximately 7 weeks, till the end of August. There will be a different sub-theme every week and each day the children come in we will be reading stories, making crafts and singing different songs according to the theme of the week! For example, the sub-theme for week 5 is "Bug to Butterfly", where we will be doing activities that involve metamorphasis, butterflies, and much, much more! We will also be hosting a get-together here at the library at the end of the summer!
The 3-5 year olds will be coming on Tuesdays and Fridays at 11:15-Noon, the 6-9 year olds will be coming on Tuesdays and Fridays at 1:00pm-2:00pm, and the 9-12 year olds will be coming on Wednesdays from 6:30pm-7:30pm! We have heaps of fun stuff planned so come join us at the Fernie Heritage Library for some great crafts, fun games, and "buggy" stories!
