Dec 2 2009 - 7:00am
Then head to The College of the Rockies, this Tuesday 1st December at 7pm to find out how. This interesting evidence based free discussion, will be hosted by Dr. Brereton, a naturopathic doctor in Cranbrook. Following very strong public support of such a discussion in Cranbrook last month, Dr. Brereton is responding to interest here and bringing his presentation to Fernie.
Being in private practice since 1997, Dr. Brereton will bring his wealth of experience to the table, encouraging an open discussion on the subject of H1N1 and the new vaccine in the hope that people can make an educated, personal decision on whether the vaccine is for them.
Dr. Brereton says, “Over the last few months we have all been hearing of the dangers of H1N1 and that the only proven protection is to get the new H1N1 vaccine. Much of what we have heard about this novel virus and the vaccine is more advertising and fear than science and actual risk.”
The discussion will explore data from Health Canada, the CDC and research from peer reviewed medical journals to examine the mounting evidence that the dangers of H1N1 have been highly over exaggerated and that flu vaccines are less effective than we have been led to believe. Safe, effective and proven ways to protect yourself and your family from influenza will also be covered.
