Former Chilliwack Chiefs forward and current Chicago Wolves sniper Jason Krog achieved a feat not seen in the American Hockey League in more than 20 years, finishing the regular season atop the league charts for goals, assists and points. Krog's 39 goals and 73 assists put him 24 points ahead of his closest competitor in the AHL's scoring derby.

The Fernie, B.C. native was the first to lead all three scoring categories since Paul Gardner accomplished the regular season hat-trick in 1985, and only the third to do so in the league's 82-year history.

Krog, who has played nearly 200 National Hockey League games during stints with the New York Islanders, Anaheim Ducks and three other clubs, will receive the John B. Sollenberger Trophy (as the AHL's top scorer) and the Willie Marshall Award (as it's goal leader) for his accomplishments.

The 32-year old was also named the AHL's most valuable player last week, so trophy space may be getting sparse around the Krog household. He claimed the Hobey Baker Award in 1999 after an 85-point season at New Hampshire led to his being chosen the NCAA's most outstanding player that season.

There is still the chance for more hardware for Krog, as his Chicago Wolves squad finished tops in the AHL regular season standings and appears primed for a long playoff run.
