Did anybody get to the discussion last monday? I was interested to know what other people thought about the book and what kind of local sources they knew about.

i made it - along with about 15 others.
there was a huge variety of food, including some specialties like home grown tomatillos. deeeelicous.

the potluck was outside, in the library garden on a sweet sunny September evening. the authors spoke upstairs in the library, with stories of finding local grains, learning to can, and all the other adventures discovered while living a year on the 100 mile diet.

their new book was for sale that night, and it is available at polar peek now.

a great night!
