Capoeira in Fernie

Ben and I are looking for someone to train with in Fernie. We have been training with Group Senzala in Leicester, England since May 2003 and have now moved over to Fernie and would like to carry on training.

If you have played before and would like to carry on or if you have never tried it before and would like to give it a go, please let me know and we'll sort something out. I've looked into a couple of places to train at, but am always grateful to hear about other venues.

Do you do performances? I have seen Copoeira, and it's really impressive and powerful. Please post some contact info if you'd be interested in performing. Sorry, don't do it myself.

Well, that's a biggy... there's only two of us at the moment but if we can get more people interested and they're up for performing then definitely yes! The best way to get people into capoeira is to show it and so if it's to take off over here then performance is the way ahead. Let me know if you have anything in mind and I'll see what I can do.

You say you don't do it yourself... would you be interested?

So, unfortunately I've been super busy with work since I posted my first note, but I'm trying to arrange for the training sessions to take place on Monday evenings at the Community Hall. I'm trying for there as it means I can work the sessions on a drop in basis.

I hope this is ok for everyone interested. Let me know what you think...

You should add your events to the OurFernie events calendar once you confirm the details. Just look in the "create content" menu.

hi camara

my name is pablo I've been training capoeria since last year in mexico with mundo interio and capoeira cultura in vancouver I really enjoy training and playing and since my partner and I are moving to fernie I will be looking for someone to keep training and playing..
we will be arriving at the end of september hoping to find some capoeira camarassssss!!!!!!
