The Dutchman's Garden sounds great as it's all truly organic veg that's delivered to your door! I love that concept, but as with most organic veg box suppliers, for me they slightly ruin their shine of greatness by supplying groceries from far and wide and also out of season veg. I think for now, I'm going to stick with growing as much as I can personally in my own back yard without the use of pesticides and supporting my veg patch by buying as local as I can from places like the Cedar Valley Greenhouse and also the Fernie Mountain Market and filling my freezer and stock cupboards for those months when veg is in short supply.

you can't rely on locally grown vegetables year round in Fernie. And when that happens a great solution is to get organic veggies delivered right to your door by the friendly folks at the Dutchamns Garden. While it isn't always local produce, it is about as local a source of veggies that you can get in Fernie. In fact it is the only local produce supplier ( I don't count overwaitea and extra foods as local ) Cincott is another one as well.
