My recent bike purchase would have cost me an additional $280 if I were to purchase it now.
My seasons ski passes will now cost about $70 more
But i feel good about it because businesses, especially really big ones are paying less tax, and they know what is best for all of us..... right?
on another note. seems funny how the increase in HST has completely overshadowed the increase in the Carbon Tax.
The carbon tax also went up July 1, rising to 4.45 cents per litre for gasoline from 3.33 cents, and to 5.11 cents per litre for diesel from 3.84 cents.
