Heard word on the street that FAR is staying open an extra day for nonstoppers only. Nobody else. So, there going to run the lifts and staff the mountain and not let anyone else on the mountain... why not? |

it really comes down to some sort of legal bs. apparently when the nonstoppers signed up they were told that they would be able to ski till the 7th or 8th. somehow there is legalities in something someone signed that allows them to get in that extra day or two. i really have no idea for sure but yea as far as i know they are doing that for them. as for why we are not allowed well just remember this is rcr we are dealing with, i am never surprised by the decisions they make anymore.

I say we stomp the hill. The lifts are open... I paid my money, and I'm skiing that day. I think everyone under the moon who has a ski pass should be there that day, see if they are able to keep us off the hill...

apparently RCR has changed their mind on this (too many threats from locals perhaps?)
they are now making the nonstoppers start their course a day earlier than originally scheduled. and finish before the mountain closes.
I sure am looking forward to being able to get up on the mountain after they shut the doors. Long range forecast for april looks like more snow and cold temperatures.

official word (FAR sent out a memo to their employees) is that the hill will be open for business on Monday, to anyone. Just the Elk and Bear will be running due to low staff numbers. Have fun!
