I don't know how much you have rode in Fernie before, but the truth of the matter is that all the great mountain biking has nothing to do with RCR. There are far more trails, and better ones all over the rest of the valley. And the Fernie Mountain Bike Club is in the process of building a dirt jump and skills progression park in the center of town for all to enjoy for free.
So don't give up on Mountain biking in Fernie just because RCR has.... go for a ride and see what the community has to offer.

Our community has great riding without having to pay for a lift pass, we have a ton of trails for all levels of riding. Enjoy what the local mountain bike scene can offer without being a slave to the corporation (RCR).
Besides, the hours of operation for our local trail network far exceeds what RCR has ever offered for mountain biking...open all the time!
Let go of what RCR can't offer and realize what the locals can.
