Morrissey Ridge snow pillow graph

This used to give a pretty sexy graph of the snow pillow on Morrissey Ridge but DON'T CLICK as it doesn't now work... http://www.env.gov.bc.ca/rfc/river_forecast/graphs/spd2c09q.html For those who are even slower at working out what's going on than I am, here's the new link: http://www.env.gov.bc.ca/rfc/data/asp/realtime/asp_pages/asp_2c09q.html Despite all the PR and desperate attempts at saying "oh wow we've got SOOOO much snow, more than ever before in fact" on various social networks (ie Facebook), this graph shows clearly that the snow is below average. Obviously it's still awesome because it's Fernie and we all love Fernie, but I just wanted to make sure everyone had the up-to-date link in case you'd bookmarked the previous one and were miffed that it'd vanished. Ta-da. |

No disrespect, but your home page has been saying....

7 Day Snowfall: 35cm
Snowpack: 223cm
... all through the season - and all through the previous summer - so I just don't click on 'Weather' on this site!

Blame RCR for that one and the fact that they have decided not to update their RSS feed any more which used to provide the automated ski report, we keep hoping it magically be updated by them again.

If RCR isn't updating THEIR rss feed why not just take that off the homepage?

it is kinda funny that they recently updated their website to prominently display the RSS feed button at the top right of their site... yet they have neglected to update it since march of 2009
but it isn't really all that surprising.

If I was a manager of "PR" at RCR I would remove OurFernie from anything RCR did. By allowing the continual spew of misinformation perpetrated by certain posters on OurFernie, directed towards RCR, and the personal attacks on their workers, and managers, it would force me to. In most forums, users are banned upon a creation of a second user name. Here, they're allowed to carry on spewing back and forth, simulating a conversation between two people.....etc...etc...etc...

This topic started out purely as a helpful exercise in trying to find the snow pillow data.
Is there any chance on the planet that we could call it quits on hijacking every topic and turning it into a rant about RCR and/or 'sanook' or 'mikes' or whoever. I've tried to be positive lately and stop dissing RCR, can we all just kiss and make up.
