With successive storms over the past few weeks and the magical powers of the legendary Griz, snow conditions at Fernie Alpine Resort lend to the earliest resort opening in British Columbia's Kootenay Region of the Canadian Rockies, BC's Powder Highway, and one of the earliest in the ski resort's history. The announcement to open for a preview weekend, one week prior to the official resort opening on Dec 5, comes with great excitement and anticipation to commence the ski and snowboard season at Fernie Alpine Resort!
Fernie Alpine Resort has plenty of snow to share with all skiers and snowboarders and in the spirit of the exciting news, extends an invitation to ALL RCR SEASON PASS HOLDERS to SKI & RIDE FOR FREE this preview weekend, including both NAKISKA SKI RESORT & KIMBERLEY ALPINE RESORT season pass holders!
Skiers and snowboarders will get to enjoy the first of the season turns at Fernie Alpine Resort on Saturday Nov 28th & Sunday Nov 29th from 9am - 4pm. Preview Weekend lift operations include the Elk Chair, Great Bear Express Chair, and Haul-Back T-Bar providing access to both the Lizard and Cedar Bowl.
